Now that I officially threw my hat into the ring, I need to put my words where the pages are. This is often easier said than done. I know one of the first steps to take is to decide where you want to begin. You need to make a list or some other graphic organizer that will keep you focused. As the phrase goes, keep your eyes on the prize. I used a basic mission statement to keep near my workplace. This can motivate you on those days when "you do not have time" or "cannot think of anything to write."
For example:
I will work steadily as a published author bringing joy to all who absorb my stories be it through pictures or words.
